Acupuncture

Just below the surface of your skin lies an active network of over 1,000 acupoints, constantly communicating through an energy flow, called chi. Each acupoint is located on a pathway, or meridian, and each meridian flows into the next in one continuous cycle. An imbalance along this pathway can cause you pain, disease, hair loss, headaches, virtually hundreds of conditions.

In contrast, many Western practitioners view the acupuncture points as places to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue. This stimulation appears to boost the activity of your body's natural painkillers and increase blood flow.

You may try acupuncture for symptomatic relief of a variety of diseases and conditions, including:

  • Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Headaches
  • Labor pain
  • Low back pain
  • Menstrual cramps
  • Migraines
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Dental pain
  • Tennis elbow
